Rubbish Collection

Since 1st January 2010 the company SECOMSA is in charge of the bin collection. They have decided to centralise the waste disposal on 3 locations:
- next to the petanque square
- opposite the Office (provisionally)
- at the northern exit of Planas
Neither the Steering Committee nor the Town Hall have a say in this decision, but we will study the possibility of installing an extra collection point at the corner of calle Tulipán and avenida de Pratdip with an appropriate parking area and the protection of reservoir n°3.
On the other hand we have two containers installed on the corner of calle Nardo.
Hazardous goods can be brought in every Tuesday morning and Thursday afternoon after obligatory prior registration at the Office.
Bulky goods will be removed every first Monday of the month by the Planas workmen.

Cleaning of the Grounds

As every year we encourage all owners to clean their grounds to avoid fire hazards and make Planas look better. Garden waste that is gathered in front of your property will be removed every Monday. Their will be a municipal decree to establish maximum height and cutting of trees, as well as the obligation to replace any cut or fallen pine tree with a Mediterranean type tree.

Water and Rubbish Collection Bill

As you have no doubt already seen, the Town Hall is in charge of collecting water and rubbish collection bills through the intermediary of BASE. Since January 1 2010 the invoices will be sent every quarter. We would like to inform you that BASE can concede payments in instalments under specific conditions.
We would like to remind you that the Town Hall has published a decree on 19 November 2009 obliging all properties to have a water meter installed on their façade. Final date of compliance is 1st January 2010.

Bank Costs

We have negotiated with our different banks to obtain a cost of 4.50 € per cheque for the cashing of foreign cheques. We ask you to keep this in mind for your future payments.

Mail delivery

Since 2009 we have been trying in vain to come to an agreement with the postal office in Miami to have our mail distributed by them. Until an agreement is reached, the Planas workmen will distribute the mail 3 times per week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Registered mail must be collected at the post office in Pratdip, which is opened Monday to Friday from 11 to 12, and on Saturdays from 11.30 to 12.
We remind you that properties without letterbox will not receive any mail.

Our pet Friends

We remind all dog owners that they can be fined if their pets disturb their environment. It is unacceptable for dogs to bark for hours, pestering a lot of neighbours. Equal measures will be taken for owners who leave their dog’s excrements on the public road.

Swimming Pool & Tennis Court Timetable and Prices

Timetable and prices for the swimming pool and tennis court remain unchanged from those in 2009.

Television

As of February 26 2010 we will need a TV set equipped with TDT to watch television. People who want to watch foreign TV stations will need to obtain a compatible decoder.
